Finance and Business Environmental Stewardship Strategy

Visit Finance and Business Environmental Stewardship website.

The objectives of the Environmental Stewardship Initiative are to result in the University conducting its business in a manner that demonstrates a commitment to environmental stewardship, and to move the University toward sustainable practices.

The Environmental Stewardship Initiative has identified seven goals to guide its efforts over the next three years:

  1. Provide leadership on environmental issues and education on best management practices;
  2. Use environmentally responsible purchasing policies;
  3. Efficiently use and conserve energy, water, and other resources;
  4. Minimize solid waste production;
  5. Minimize hazardous waste and toxic materials on campus;
  6. Use environmentally responsible campus design and planning principles; and
  7. Regulatory compliance.
